Workshops
Karen offers workshops both for those who want to refine their folk dance techniques
and for those who want to get a start calling their own local dances.
Karen taught a workshop at the May 2013 Saint Louis "Kimmswick" dance weekend on how to call to groups of non-dancers, such as schools, weddings,
or other groups who may just want to see what the fuss is about.
First there was a bit of introduction and discussion: How to organize, how to teach, how to call, etc.
Then some folks who have never tried to call a dance got to try it out, with recorded music and live dancers.

The hand-outs for this "One Night Stands" workshop are available right here, as Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files.
This format is perfect for printing, and somewhat readable online.
